Overview

Advance Partial Shipment — WP All Import Add-On imports partial shipments from any CSV or XML file into the Advance Partial Shipment for WooCommerce plugin via a dedicated WP All Import Shipment type. One CSV row equals one product line of a shipment: rows sharing the same Order ID + Tracking Number are grouped into a single multi-item shipment, and an existing shipment with the same tracking number is updated automatically. Importing through this type never touches WooCommerce orders or products — one throwaway post is created per row, buffered, deleted immediately, and the real shipments are created at the end of the import. All writes go through the plugin API (create / update / set status), so order-status recomputation, email hooks, webhooks and quantity clamping keep working. Requires Advance Partial Shipment for WooCommerce plus WP All Import Pro with the WooCommerce Add-On Pro.

Advance Partial Shipment — WP All Import Add-On bulk-imports shipments from any CSV or XML file straight into Advance Partial Shipment for WooCommerce. No manual shipment entry, no order editing — map once, import, and every row becomes a real shipment.

It adds a dedicated “Shipment” import type to WP All Import with drag-and-drop mapping for all 13 shipment fields. Rows sharing the same Order ID + Tracking Number are grouped into one multi-item shipment, existing shipments are updated automatically, and everything is created through the plugin API — so status recomputation, emails, webhooks and quantity clamping keep working. Your WooCommerce orders and products are never touched.

Why store owners choose it

  • Dedicated Shipment import type — shipment files never run through the Order/Product engine.
  • Auto-grouped multi-item shipments with smart create-or-update on re-import.
  • SKU or order-item matching, forgiving status and date parsing, silent bulk mode.
  • Live import progress log with a created / updated / skipped summary.

Requires Advance Partial Shipment for WooCommerce plus WP All Import Pro with the WooCommerce Add-On Pro. Every license includes pro support.

Features

📥

Dedicated Shipment import type

Adds a native Shipment type to WP All Import (throwaway wphub_shipment posts), so shipment files never run through the Order or Product import engine.

🛡️

Orders never touched

One throwaway post per row is buffered and deleted immediately; real shipments are created at the end of the import. No cleared line items, no reset statuses.

🧩

Drag-and-drop mapping

Map all 13 shipment fields — order id, reference, tracking number and URL, provider, status, dates, notes, SKU or item id, quantity — plus an email toggle and default status.

🗂️

Auto-grouped shipments

Rows sharing the same Order ID + Tracking Number are merged into a single multi-item shipment during the import.

🔁

Smart create-or-update

An existing shipment with the same tracking number is updated automatically; silent re-imports replace it without firing emails when emails are off.

🏷️

Status + date handling

Forgiving status normalisation (shipped → dispatched, packed → picked) and multi-format date parsing, applied through the plugin so webhooks and delivered dates stay correct.

🔍

SKU or item-id matching

Each row resolves to its order item via a direct order-item ID or the product SKU (HPOS-safe). Unmatched rows are skipped with a clear log line.

📊

Import progress + debug

Live SHIPMENT CREATED / UPDATED / SKIPPED messages during AJAX imports, WP_DEBUG error_log support, and a final created-updated-skipped summary.

How It Works

  1. 1

    Prepare a shipment file

Build a CSV or XML with one row per product line: order id, SKU or order-item id, quantity, tracking number, status, dates and notes.

  2. 2

    Run a Shipment import

In WP All Import choose the Shipment import type, drag each column onto the Advance Partial Shipment Fields, then set the email behaviour and default status.

  3. 3

    Rows buffer safely

Each row is buffered in a transient grouped by Order ID + Tracking Number while its throwaway post is deleted immediately. Orders and products stay untouched.

  4. 4

    Shipments appear automatically

At the end of the import every group becomes a shipment through the plugin API — created or updated, status applied — with a created / updated / skipped summary.

Settings & Configuration

Shipment field mapping

Thirteen draggable targets on the import options step: order id, shipment reference, tracking number and URL, provider, status, shipment date, ETA, customer and internal notes, product SKU, order item id and quantity.

Send customer shipment emails

On = status emails fire as shipments are created. Off = shipments are created silently — recommended for bulk or historical imports.

Default shipment status

Used when the Status column is empty or unrecognised. Supports ready, picked, dispatched and delivered.

Grouping rule

Rows are grouped by Order ID + Tracking Number (falling back to shipment reference, then the order itself) into single multi-item shipments.

Re-import behaviour

Re-running a file updates the shipment with the same tracking number instead of duplicating it; with emails off the existing shipment is silently replaced.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What do I need to use this add-on?
Advance Partial Shipment for WooCommerce, plus WP All Import Pro with the WP All Import WooCommerce Add-On Pro. The add-on deactivates with a notice if either is missing.
Q: Will importing overwrite my WooCommerce orders?
No. The import runs as a dedicated Shipment type using throwaway posts that are deleted immediately. Orders and products are never modified — only shipments are created.
Q: How should my CSV file look?
One row per product line of a shipment: order id, product SKU (or order-item id), quantity, tracking number, plus optional status, dates and notes. Rows with the same Order ID + Tracking Number become one shipment.
Q: What happens if I re-import the same file?
The shipment with the same tracking number is updated instead of duplicated. With emails off, the existing shipment is silently replaced without notifying the customer.
Q: How are CSV rows matched to order items?
By direct order-item id first, then by product SKU against the items on that order. Rows that match nothing are skipped with a SHIPMENT ITEM SKIPPED log line.
Q: Where do I get support?
Contact support@wooexperts.com with your add-on order ID and the support team will help you out.
